This documentary was one of the most amazing pieces of art I’ve ever witnessed. Not only does it show the battle of an immigrant women, it also shows the battle of being an illegal immigrant women. It’s raw and real and doesn’t hide away any of the bad parts, which made the film so personal. The Prodigal Daughter deals with the hardships on both sides of the family when immigrating.
