CBSA Culture of Secrecy

This resource is an article written in The Star newspaper by Nicholas Keung about the ‘culture of secrecy’ of Canada’s Border Services Agency. It speaks on the lack of transparency CBSA has regarding its immigration detention system and the effects this has on the lives of immigrants who end in the grasp of CBSA. The topic of the culture of border services directly relates to the goal of recognizing issues surrounding immigrant detention. This resource is important in the strive for a greater understanding of transnational feminism because it directly shows the horrendous effects that bodies of power have over the lives of immigrants and refugees.
