Canadian Border Services Agency

Writer: Gender Studies StudentGender Studies Student

The Canada Border Services Agency is a government body which regulates border services that facilitate the coming and leaving of people in and out of the country. It regulates the flow of persons and goods and holds power over immigration in and out of Canada. I chose this term because it is necessary to understand what Border Services is and how it functions when studying any transnational topic. Because of the power, and potential misuse of power, Border Services Agencies have, studying them and understanding how they function, how they oppress bodies, and how they affect immigrant and refugee lives is extremely relevant in the study of transnational feminism.
