I see colour, I see gender, I see colonialism, I see the interconnectedness of non-white and white women’s rights and civil rights violations. Transnational feminism is the rejection of a western-centric approach to seeing and fixing social issues, as an individual identifying with more than one nonwestern country, a heterosexual female, as a social scientist, as a brown person I find myself a transnational feminist by giving equal importance to all sides of my identity. I would like to be a part of the global dialogue on experiencing western culture from a non-white perspective and talk about imperialism and colonialism as current issues. Anti-racist transnational feminisms are inclusive movements that refuse to leave any person, community, faith, history, culture, nation behind in its fight against a colonial power centric world. Anti-racist is inclusive of racism based in all nations against women, it stands with women struggling against the patriarchal rule. Anti-racist addresses the division of extremist groups from religion, and separates religion from terrorism. In the recent wake of aggressive anti-immigration and right-wing militarism against Islamic countries, anti-racism means acknowledging the resource wars that the west and global south have fought for decades, anti-racism means anti-imperialism.
